Great book for basic rebuild of stock engine. I give a two star rating because of the subtitle, "How to rebuild AND MODIFY, " however here is nothing included on porting and polishing, boring throttle bodies, selecting more efficient blocks, heads, intakes and how to interchange them. Nor are there any other advanced building tips. It does push aftermarket stroker kits and aftermarket air intake kits, but not really much for the in depth do-it-yourself modifier. This book is not that useful for guys who have already built an engine. The useful information printed is already in shop manuals and readily found on on-line forums. I might use the book as a reference since I have it, but I thought I was paying for someone's significant knowledge on improving the performance on a 4.0l, not just "go buy some aftermarket kits. I'm disappointed. They shouldn't have put "...and modify," in the title.

Great if your 4.0 is a pre-99 model.The book does not acknowledge the changes in ignition, intake manifold, exhaust manifold, cam retention and smog systems, seen in the later models.Interesting since the book has a 2014 copyright, it should be up to date, the last Jeep 4.0 was built in 2006.This book skips the last 8 years of production, so consider it an incomplete manual.

It has been the early 1980's since I have rebuilt an engine. This book is a good reference and has some pages of interest to me. Written by a person who was an engineer for Chrysler during the development of the 4.0 engine. The torque patterns and torque specs are worth the price alone. This book is a great read before you tackle the job of rebuilding the 4.0. Even if you are a seasoned rebuilder, this book has special tips that are specific to the 4.0. It also has a section on building a stroker engine. It took 5 days working a little after work each night to build the engine, just taking my time, no suprises. Great book.

I've been using these 4.0 engines for half my life, and always wanted to tackle a rebuild. I consider myself a well rounded do it yourselfer with enough understanding to take to just about anything, this manual answered many questions I had. Every detail was broken down easily by the author (a veteran Crystler engineer). Well worth the $16

Recently had to rebuild the engine on my TJ. I had bought a Haynes manual and already owned the Jeep Owners Bible, but both were vague and disorganized. This book however, covers the process step-by-step and with full color pictures.

Good resource for my first build. Definitely read through a few times before beginning my project to familiarize myself with the process. An invaluable resource for the first time rebuilder, but missed a few things that I had to learn through trial and error.

Very helpful basic concept book. I will be rebuilding my 4.0L next year. This was my first rebuild book and it did a great job of explaining everything to me. I feel like I can now understand more complex books. I could probably do the job with this book only, but I like to over-prepare. I got a lot from this book and the price was great!

Good book. It has a lot of good information that I have already put to good use. I especially like the part that talks about a super charger. It lists the manufacturer so it was an easy look up.

Excellent book for beginners, who need to get the idea of how to think in Japanese language when you only have your native language as a reference. This is only possible when you get the idea of the grammar of that language and this book is one of those that accomplish the hard task of building this bridge. It allows you begin leaving your own language thinking and get into Japanese way of constructing phrases, conjugating verbs and so one. At least this was my experience and my feeling, after reading other books that were specific in the subject of Japanese verb conjugation.

I only wish I had found this book when I first came to Japan four years ago. I have bought maybe 30 textbooks, but this is the first one that really helped me start making sense of the noise around me.Everything is explained so clearly and compactly, but the book is thin enough to carry around in my purse. The book has all the essentials, but the best feature is in the examples with translations that follow each principle. They are such practical and useful models-and so familiar! I've heard them before in real life but just did not understand, until now.Some people may not like the omission of Japanese writing in the examples, but as for me, it has been useful to learn the grammar first. I have struggled through the books with Japanese writing-and usually gave up. But this book made everything so easy. Having learned the grammatical principles, and having improved my ability to understand what is being said around me and to respond, I now feel I can start learning the writing with confidence.Bottom line: Buy this book first. I wish I had.

It has alot of information for a small book but everything seems clear and it covers alot, the only thing i could say is I wish it had more examples for some things

I can't stress how freakin useful this book is! I originally found this book at my local library and instantly fell in love with it. I went on Amazon not expecting to find such a "rare" book, but Amazon had it!This book is a God-send. YOU MUST BUY IT! PERIOD. Ditto on what everyone else said. The examples are practical and the translations are very helpful. It goes into great depths about the grammer, explaining it clearly and COMPLETELY. If you're like me, you don't like all those basic-to-intermediate crap out there. There aren't enough advanced Japanese material out there. There is one gripe though, it's all in romaji! (gross)

This is a great book for Japanese grammar and notes on verbs. It even has a section of cultural information. The other grammar book I've used in Eriko Sato's "Japanese Demystified," which is also a good book. Between the two I refer to "Japanese Verbs and the Essentials of Grammar" more often because it is like a very organized outline of concepts. I love it. I like both books and I recomend them both.This book uses roomaji though, with only a chapter or two about kanji and kana, but it is still extreamly helpfull.This is my favorite Japanese Grammar book.

I've got at least thirty Japanese books. This one is the best by far. If you buy one book this year make it this one

This is very useful and breaks its sections down in a very logical way. This is also great when it comes to studying example sentences.

I asked for “Interfaith Leadership:A Primer”, by Eboo Patel as I am an interfaith chaplain and I try to keep up with the literature. I was very impressed by the book. It bears the signs of an academic book, notes, index and a list of works cited; but it is much more readable than many academic books.His explanation of “identity category” is clearer than most books I have read, and although I do not share his identification with the term “social entrepreneur” I had no trouble identifying my own using his method. I am an interfaith leader, a disAbility advocate, and a human rights advocate. I am also a wife, a Universalist, and a reader.Mr. Patel uses lots of examples as well as clear definitions and instructions.My favorite quotation is actually a paraphrase from Dr. Diana Eck. “Diversity, … , ought to be understood as a neutral term with a range of possible consequences, everything from conflict to cooperation. When diversity is proactively engaged for positive ends, Eck calls it “pluralism.” Simply put, diversity is a fact; pluralism is an achievement, one that must be worked at.” [p.54]There is so much information, direction, and inspiration in this book that I am going to recommend it to my whole house church.

"Interfaith work is not an extracurricular activity." I heard this at a meeting last week and it holds true for all people of faith. We do not equip ourselves in interfaith work as a hobby. It is essential for living in these days. Nobody teaches it better than Eboo Patel and this would be a good book for leaders and congregations of all kinds.

I purchased this book thinking that it would be a short essay on the lynching records that Ida B. Wells is so historically famous for publishing. This book contained three of her publications including her correspondence with the Christian Womens Temperance association which I found to be very informative. She eloquently expresses her frustration with the president of the association for misrepresenting her position on the involvement of white women and the lynch law. Mrs. Wells argues her position very clear, making it known of her disappointment in a Christian association that does not support anti-lynching laws. The book can be difficult to read due to the graphic nature of historical accounts, but yet a must read for anyone that wants to know the true history of this country.

This is a powerful book written by a powerful woman. She witnessed genocide and had the courage and the determination to tell the world about it. She told the truth. If this book doesn't move you, nothing will.

Southern Horrors sheds light on the heinous acts of lynching Black and Brown bodies for no more reasons than being a person of color! The American history of torture and terror committed against Black and Brown bodies is put to the light in Southern Horrors!

History comes alive with the haunting stories of real injustices as recorded by the brave Ida B. Wells. A must for Civil Rights historians. Lest we forget!
