About the Author
KATHY WEIDNER ZOEHFELD is a graduate of Mount Holyoke College, in South Hadley, Massachusetts, and University of Michigan Ann Arbor where she decided to put her science degrees to use by writing nonfiction books for kids. Since then she has written over 60 natural science and history books for young readers, and been awarded honors by the NSTA/CBC, the NCSS/CBC, the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Library Association, the IRA/CBC Children’s Choice. My 2 year old LOVES this entire series of Nat. Geo Readers... I have purchased about 25 different titles, "pre-readers" as well as Level 1 & 2 readers. She loves them all & will ask for certain ones. The "pre-readers" level books are extremely simple & great because she memorizes the words & can "read" it herself. We love the more advanced ones too, because there is more information to talk about. I have learned quite a few facts, myself!) What a great series. The price is reasonable & pictures are great. These are really getting her interested in nature, animals & science... I will continue to buy these as they are released, for our collection!
Very interesting book. A beginner book on dinosaurs for kids. The only comment is that it does not show the various different types of dinosaurs.
The book was NOT new which was not made clear on the listing. It arrived with a sticky back page and scruffed pages. It was like some juice spilled on it or something. Thankfully I was able to get all of the sticky substance off of it and it was cheap enough that I'm not going to complain about it being used. I just wish I'd known that's what I was going to get.
Kid loves the pictures and hearing about the dinosaurs. I learned a few things too. I don’t recall this many different dinosaur names when I was growing up. Also recommended the Volcanos and Planets books.
Our son is in kindergarten and the information is a little much but he loves dinosaurs and loves education books like this. Soon enough he will be able to read it in his own!
MY grandson loves dinosaurs so this was the perfect book for him...he really enjoyed it and learned more facts about dinosaurs that he didn't know..

I bought several of this books for my children, they love them so much that they have now a big collection, and I love the fact that they actually read them and are learning a lot, they come with different reading levels for each child reading skills.
