I like all the watch-jargon info, and the pics/descriptions of the movements. But I wish I knew how they decided what models to put in the catalog. Only 1 page of B&R watches? That would be OK if it only included the newest models, but it doesn't.It's great to see many of the smaller watch houses getting some time in the catalog, there were several watches/companies I hadn't heard of before, and some I am now interested in.And including the list prices for that watches is a requirement, nice to see that. Of course, some are "price on request", but that is to be expected for the unique and million dollar models.
This is a must have for any watch collector of modern timepieces. It's not perfect, as it sometimes it gives 2 or even 3 pages to a less important watch brand and just a single page to much more desirable brands, but all in all it is a must have.
The Wristwatch Annual has proven year after year to be the only layperson watch magazine worth reading. I have decided the rest of the annuals are just advertisments and not worth my time.
Great summary of the latest lines from all the top manufacturers. They should include more of the lower end Swiss watches that are not that expensive like Zeno.
The book leaves out some models.
This is my fourth year buying this guide. Has helped me save and back off from buying watches I really want, but can live without until the price is right. This is extremely important when considering collectible and heirloom worthy watches. In the 5 to 25 thousand range.....
High quality pictures, movement details, some information about each of the many companies; includes Seiko as well with their Grand Seiko line;clearly a must have for any watch lover/collector.
This publication is very informative and I have ordered the 2013 edition as well... can not say much more than completely satisfied with the purchase
