Has pictures of a person doing the exercise with a dotted circle outlining the body part where a person is supposed to feel the exercise, which to me, is the most important aspect of weight training.
Joan Pagano's book is a must for any one who exercises and wants to stay in shape. Her advice is sound and practical. Anyone could do the exercises in her book. I bought it after hearing her as a guest on Doctor Radio. Even advanced exercisers can find something in this book. I highly recommend this book if you are just starting out with strength training or recovering from an injury.
I love this book! I first checked it out at the library and then had to get my own copy. Lots of exercises for strength building that can be done either at home or in the gym. Easy to explain pictures. Exercises for every part of the body. Highly recommended.
This is a very well written book, very informative and full of tips with each exercise. I frequently use this book when working out at home, paying attention to the section that focuses on the core. This book is well worth the purchase.

Good book with lots of pictures and instructions. Enough to get started if you prefer books over videos. Most of this can be found online in video form.
clearly written with nice photos to demonstrate the exercises. I wanted a diy manual and this fits the bill. She gives a lot of options using resistance with body weight, hand weights and also some gym weight machines. Lots of variety so the routine doesn't get boring.
This book has pictures and details of every exercise. It is great to have as a manual of the exercises, repetitions, and how to do them at different levels. I highly recommend this book!
