"POP! goes the weasel" is one of Jaden's latest favorite songs.
I came home from work tonight to the family sitting down at the dinner table. Eventually our "welcome home, Daddy" routine led to us singing this beloved tune, in a slightly altered arrangement.
Of course, the joy of the entire song is engulfed in the one magical phrase, which children can bellow at the top of their lungs, "POP! GOES THE WEASEL." So that's all we ended up singing... it went something like this:
Me: POP! Goes the weasel
Jaden: POP! Goes the baby (notice the improvisation, Jaden doing his best to include his unborn sibling in the family song-time... so I played along:)
Me: POP! Goes the Jaden
Jaden: POP! Goes the BABY
Me: POP! Goes the Caleb
Jaden: POP! Goes the BABY
Me: POP! Goes the Andrew
Jaden: POP! Goes the BABY
Me: POP! Goes the Mommy
Jaden: POP! Goes the BABY
Me: POP! Goes the Daddy
Jaden: POP! Goes the BABY
Me (finally!): POP! Goes the BABY...
Jaden: NO, Daddy, babies don't go pop!
