Kid-speak

Jaden and Caleb were playing in the playroom just now while Tracy and I were in the kitchen doing dishes. Caleb started fussing so I went running to see who’s hurting who, or which one’s taking toys from the other…
As it turns out, Jaden had been playing with 4 toy cars and Caleb had taken them away.
After I had Caleb give Jaden the cars back I asked, “Jaden, can you share your toys with your brother?” (Jaden’s holding two toy cars.) “Jaden, can you give Caleb one of those cars to play with and you keep the other?”
“No…”
“Why not?”
“Because I’m two.”
